How to use GTA 5 cheat codes
While most GTA games allow players to type in a cheat code while the character walks around, GTA 5 has a few different ideas to mix up that formula. Depending on the platform, here’s how to use GTA 5 cheat codes:
On Xbox, PC or PlayStation, input the code on the controller at any time while wandering around the game world.
On PC, press one keyboard button (¬ in the UK or ~ in the USA) and then type in the cheat code.
On Xbox, PC or PlayStation, enter cheat codes on the in-game phone. Press up on the D-pad to bring up the phone, then enter the unique code.
Activate the Black Cellphone cheat by dialling 1-999-367-3767, for example. This will cause a random explosion somewhere overhead, change the phone’s colour, and make it a touch bigger than normal.

Is there a GTA 5 money cheat?
There’s no cheat code for getting money in GTA 5. Rockstar, the team behind the game, allows players to mess around with a bunch of cheats, but they’ve drawn the line at giving away free money — and that’s not really a surprise.
This rule applies to both single-player and multiplayer modes. There’s simply no money cheat available in either.
It’s understandable for GTA Online, where the whole point is to earn and compete, but it’s a bit unexpected that unlimited money isn’t an option in single-player either.
Older titles like San Andreas did have a cheat for $250,000, and you could keep using it again and again. If Rockstar ever changes their mind and adds a money cheat, we’ll definitely update you.
